    GT3 Club GT3 Club Admin

This is a GT3 Club for racers of all skill & experience levels. This club is made up of a group of friends & any public racer. We host an online lobby on a semi-daily basis, the specs & room settings are always the same so all drivers can have a consistent platform to improve on.

    --Clean driving & Race Etiquette-
The GT3 club is about racing clean & having fun, we expect you to fully understand racing etiquette, if you have any questions about etiquette please ask.

    --Driver help & questions-
If any drivers looking try GT3 or have any questions about our club you can ask here. I also have a 'base set-up' for every GT3 car in this category, if you would like a set-up ask & I will send you one or all of them via PSN. thnx!

    --GT3 Club 'Transfer system'
The 'transfer system' is put in place to help identify the more to less experienced players in the GT3 Club. This 'system' will also 'police' players & make sure on course incidents/accidents are handled accordingly. This 'ranking' has NO reflect on driver skill. The driver 'rankings' will go from 'novice' to 'expert', each level requires a player to obtain a certain level of race etiquette & respect to their fellow racers. If a driver incurs too many consecutive incidents involving race etiquette & clean racing the driver(s) will be demoted 1 level & will have to re-earn their status as a trustworthy racer. Transfers have NO effect on earning points, this is strictly for race etiquette control.

-How does the transfer system work? You are able to check some ones 'experience level rank' in order to prepare yourself for what type of driver you will be competing against( basically, how much can I trust this player?)... When a driver joins a GT3 Club event for the first time they are a 'novice', you will be required to earn 'transfers' in order to move up in rankings.

-How do I earn transfers? To earn 1 transfer you must finish ahead of at least 2 competitors of the SAME 'experience level'. If you finish ahead of 4, you get 2 transfers, etc, etc. All while keeping your racing clean!

    • Novice to Amateur = 5 Transfers.
    • Amateur to Expert = 10 Transfers.

    • Points Breakdown

    Lapped car Procedure -

    Lead cars; --

To insure safe overtaking between leaders & lappers, Leaders will be required to 'flash' head-lights before overtaking a lapped car. You can ONLY flash head-lights if YOU are a leader overtaking a lapped car. Make sure to check your control settings & have the ability to flash your lights on a comfortable button.

    Lapped cars; --

To insure safety for lapped cars, ALL lapped cars who see an approaching car with flashing lights MUST yield/give corner. (Plz do NOT flash your lights if you are NOT a leader.)

-- Overall, as usual, ALL cars are required to exercise high race etiquette. Any lapped car who exercises poor race etiquette will be suspended one race.

    Pit Entry/Exit Procedure

    - Use ALL pit-entry/exit markings. As always, everyone is req. to exercise high race etiquette. .

ANY failure to follow/execute these procedure(s) will result in a 1 race suspension & even a ban from the GT3 Club.

I like this track a lot. It's almost where I got my first win in this club! If only I didn't make a mistake near the very end because of visibility issues  Lol. Looking forward to this one!

Had a good practice today! Made progress throughout the session, and although I couldn't reach Fred's awesome lap, I feel good about tomorrow :) 1:28.563 was my best lap.

Great racing from the GT3 Club today at Spielberg! Unfortunately, I'm not doing a race report this time due to the terrible race I had. Let's just say I finished in the back, 12th to be exact. Made way too many mistakes, but I at least kept the car from crashing and causing even more trouble.

    Fred's Race report

Was a good race overall, had a good battle with thermite in the end, but i'll be honest, I was a bit dissapointed in myself because I went too wide in the first turn so I had to let off and let Flash pass otherwise I would of had Thermite but I caught up to him in the last few minutes but was unable to overtake him, but nevertheless....still very happy with 2nd and congratz to thermite with his win, so GJ man, you nailed it this time.

    Thermite's Race Report

Qualifying went pretty well after I was able to get a clean lap in (spun out coming to get the green for the first time). Was able to get pretty close to what I ran in practice, and I knew there was no way I'd be able to reach the 1:27's like the top 2 did. So I happily started 3rd.

Race: I thought gibbs had a false start out of the corner of my eye, so I started to drift to the inside of the track only to find he was still there lol. So I quickly went back to where I was. I almost went too wide on the exit of turn 1 and was worried I was going to stack the field up a little, but we all escaped nicely. Then gibbs spun out on the exit of turn 2 and smacked the wall, allowing me to move into 2nd. I knew Fred had the car to beat, so I basically told myself I was racing for 2nd today. I think that allowed me to relax a little more and save my equipment. I was more concerned with maintaining my gap back to 3rd (Bladerunner) than pushing for the lead. I made my first pit stop with 40 minutes to go and went from RM to RH.

I guess I pitted a little early as it took a couple more laps for the leaders to pit, but I wasn't worried. I increased my gap over Blade and continued to just hit my marks and ride. I did notice that I was a little closer to Fred though, and started to wonder if I should have stayed on RM to try and mix things up, but oh well. Gibbs was now in 3rd and got pretty close to me as I made a couple small mistakes, but I was still ahead of him as I pitted for the final time with 20 minutes to go. Went back to RM and put in just enough fuel to make it to the end.

Again, it took Fred a little longer to come into the pits. He came in with 15 minutes to go. That might have been the difference. I was on fresher tires for 5 whole minutes and may have even taken less fuel than him, so I was now in the lead as he was finishing up his stop! This was where the heart rate started to go up. I had a 4 second lead and I knew he was going to cut that gap. Sure enough, he started to eat away at my lead. He got within about 1 second or less but then went wide in turn 1 with less than 7 minutes to go! Then he had a little trouble getting around the lapped car driven by Flash. That only made my heart pound even more, as I now knew it was very realistic that I might be able to pull off the win! My tires were getting more and more worn, Fred was mounting another charge, and my red fuel light went on with a lap and a half to go, but I was able to hold him off and bring home the win!!! This was probably my favorite career win in this club. What a race! :D:D:D:D:D

Also, look at the diversity! 4 different countries represented in the top 5! It's awesome that not only do we have such a competitive club, but also one that welcomes people from all across the world!

@gibbsgto I just watched the replay. Thank you for not running me over with 26 minutes to go!!! I didn't think anything of it at the time. I figured you misjudged your braking but wow that was really close

    Qualifying: 5th
Was unable to do more than a few laps practice for this race so was reasonably pleased with 5th place in qually.

    Race: 4th
My usual slow initial getaway off the line wasn't that bad this time, yet still i had two cars on my inside heading down to turn one. With the outside line i was able to carry more speed thru the turn and on exit found myself still in 5th and now alongside Gapp who i believe was starting on RH tyres, i was squeezed out heading to turn two so concentrated on getting a good exit and as Gibbs flew off track i hung on Gapps rear bumper and moved to the inside at turn three and into 3rd place.

From here on i was always a couple of seconds behind Thermite in 2nd, and with the 4th placed car some distance behind, the rest of this stint was unchanged.

Thermite pitted with 40 mins remaining and a couple laps later i pitted same lap as Fred. A full tank and a new set of RM tyres later i exited the pits and found myself in 4th with Gibbs who had pitted early now a few seconds ahead of me and Thermite had pulled out a big gap to me by having a much quicker stop.

Another uneventful stint other than passing a few back markers, and closing the gap to Thermite by a few seconds before he and Gibbs make there second and final pit with 20 mins remaining.
Back into 2nd it's another 5 mins before i make my final stop, putting on RH tyres and with only 15 mins remaining i put in around 75 litres of fuel and back out into 4th place but even further behind.

And there i finish, not sure what went wrong as i was running a pretty clean race with a similar pace to Thermite yet i finish a long way behind, i guess this shows just how crucial the right pit strategy can be.

Congratulations to Thermite for a perfect race, it was a really good race just hope i'm in the fight next time, was a little lonely :(.
